Many of the Italian Guides have now published their results. Gambero Rosso, with its Tre Bicchieri, is according to the “gurus” the most importan. Oh my bloody God!!
Had a bottle of Docet tonight and it didn’t touch the sides….absolutely delicious!Smooth, supple, beautifully silky….like a very good less alcoholic Amarone without the knock-out effect….stunning wine Manfredo, congratulations. How have you produced that with just Cab Sauv and Cab Franc?? Would have thought there was some Merlot in there or something else….just superb!What the bloody hell have you done differently to ’07?? I mean…I liked the ’07 but felt it needed more time but this thing is just knockout….

A stunning wine Manfredo.
Even better than the ’07. The over-riding flavours for me were beautifully smooth dark chocolate and lots of of delicious blackcurrant. Lots of finesse. Very silky.

Siamo lieti di annunciare che l’edizione 2012 della Guida Oro I Vini di Veronelli, edita dal Seminario Permanente Luigi Veronelli, sarà presto nelle librerie di tutta Italia e con piena soddisfazione informiamo che verrà presentata agli operatori e alla stampa il prossimo 24 ottobre alle ore 11,00 all’interno del WiMu Museo del Vino nella splendida cornice del Castello Comunale Falletti di Barolo (Cuneo). Questa del 2012 è un’edizione che comprende 2.935 aziende, di cui 226 esordienti, con 17.200 vini descritti e fra questi 2.014 al loro esordio in Guida.

La novità di questa edizione è l’introduzione dei capitoletti regionali dedicati ai “I Luoghi del Buon Bere”, ossia la pubblicazione di una rigorosa selezione dei migliori ristoranti nei quali, oltre alla qualità dei cibi, si possono apprezzare i migliori vini che l’Italia produce.

I vini premiati con le Super-TreStelle per l’Italia sono 557, selezionati attraverso una strettissima maglia fissata a 93 centesimi. Una soglia altissima dettata dal continuo miglioramento della qualità dei vini italiani di qualsiasi Regione, che ci pone ai vertici della produzione mondiale. Spicca su tutte il Piemonte, seguito dalla Toscana, ma registriamo significative crescite da parte di quasi tutte le altre regioni con ottimi riscontri per Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Puglia, Sicilia e Sardegna.
